Wet cooling tower
Wet cooling tower or open circuit cooling tower is actually a system of reducing the temperature of the circulating fluid. In this system, due to the direct use of fluids, especially water, it is called wet cooling tower. Production of wet fiberglass cooling tower in two grades of counter flow (in two models, circular and cubic) and cross flow. Cross-flow cooling tower, known as Abara or Crossflow, is mostly used in sultry areas
. In this model of wet cooling tower , air is sucked in from the louvers on both sides of the tower by a fan. Water is sprayed by the nozzle from above on the egg comb packings on both sides of the cooling tower. In the cooling tower, the cross current of the fan is at the top and center, which is empty below it. Due to the collision of air and water with the right angle, this system is called cross-flow cooling tower.
Opposite flow cooling tower is designed in two grades of cube and cone and has many applications in today's world. Cone cooling tower is mostly designed and built for installation in heights and chiller towers of buildings and offices. In a circular cooling tower, water flow is transferred to the nozzles by a sprinkler and sprayed on the packings . Due to the location of the Louvre at the bottom of the cooling tower and the spray of water from above, it is called the opposite stream. The reason is that the weather in this model of cooling tower is in the opposite direction. The circular wet cooling tower has fewer fans due to the lack of uniform distribution of water which reduces the efficiency. But with the development of the cooling industry, cubic towers have been designed and manufactured that are more efficient than the conical model. In the cubic cooling tower, the water spraying system is done by nozzles, which is very uniform and regular.
